happenings at Studio A. Our summer dancing adventures are

MASTER CLASS:
We were very fortunate to have nationally renowned ballet instructor
Tara Foy teach a master class at Studio A. Ms. Foy brought
a wealth of experience and information to our students and performed
magic with our students, enhancing their dancing technique and even
turning the ballet studio into a sauna!! The students had a fabulous
time and Ms. Foy was impressed with their enthusiasm, hard work
and solid technique. She will return for additional classes in the
spring. Check out our pictures on Facebook.
ELITE BALLET INTENSIVE:
Nine dancers from Studio A attended a week-long ballet intensive
in Las Vegas during July. The dancers had the opportunity to join
students from across the country and study with outstanding instructors
from renowned companies including the Royal Ballet, National Ballet
de Cuba, Ballet West and Cirque du Soleil. Students enjoyed a curriculum
that included pas de deux, character, repertoire, pointe, musical
theatre, modern, classical jazz, Pilates and Gyrokinesis. The dancers
had a wonderful week of dance and the week culminated with an inspiring
showcase that highlighted the students' progress and accomplishments.
CONGRATS GRADS:
We are very proud of our graduating seniors at Studio A.
Nicole Polewaczyk will be attending DVC in the fall and we
are pleased to say she will continue to be a familiar face at the
studio. Elissa Cheng will be studying dance and nursing at
Cal State Long Beach. Melissa Smitheram will be attending
Cal Poly in the fall. We wish them all much success as they begin
their college careers!
