Studio A was voted the best location for dance classes in Diablo Magazine's Best of the East Bay 2008 poll. A special heartfelt thank you to all the wonderful instructors who give so much time and dedication to make Studio A such a wonderful place.

NEW STUDIO A TEACHING STAFF AND OFFICE PERSONNEL
We are pleased to welcome Joslynn Mathis to the Studio A teaching staff. She will be teaching several hip hop classes at the studio this fall, as well as the all-boys combo class on Saturday. Joslynn recently transplanted to the Bay Area from Detroit, Michigan, and brings with her a very creative and cutting edge style of hip hop.

We also have two new smiling faces in our office! Our new office manager is Laura O'hara, and our finance manager is Kathy Resch. Both come to us with extensive business backgrounds, and are looking forward to being a part of Studio A. Stop by and introduce yourself.

FAREWELL TO MISS SHARON & MISS MOLLY
Sharon Kehoe is leaving the Studio A staff this fall. She is pursuing a career with her brothers, Dan and Jim of Hardnox fame. They were signed to a major record company and she will be assisting them in their creative endeavors. Good luck Miss Sharon…we will miss you!

Pilates instructor molly hills has moved to Auburn with her husband and new baby daughter, Marlee. We wish her and her family the best of luck!

CLASS REGISTRATION
Walk-in registration will be held on Tuesday, August 26th from 11:00 am till 6:00 PM. Drop in and check out the studio or mail your registration in.

JACKETS & T-SHIRTS
We will be placing an order for Studio A jackets on October 15th. Our jackets are black crepe with the Studio A logo embroidered on the back and your dancer's name on the front. The cost for these jackets is $55. We also sell warm up pants that match the jackets, and a variety of t-shirts. Any of these make a wonderful Christmas or birthday gift! Samples are available in the office. Please see Laura in the office if you would like to place an order or if you have any questions.

PARENT INFORMATION BOARD
We have a general studio information board located in the lobby. Please make it a habit to come in to the studio when dropping off your youngster and check the board for information. We will keep it updated with important information regarding the studio and upcoming events. We aim to get all information to each and every parent, but somehow the students' dance bags sometimes manage to "eat" the fliers before they reach home!!

REMINDER…REMINDER…REMINDER
There is no food or drink allowed on the studio premises. This includes sodas and coffee for the parents who are observing. Thank you for helping us keep our studio a beautiful and clean environment.

NEW ADULT CLASSES OFFERED AT STUDIO A
Studio A is offering several adult classes this fall. Jazz, Zumba, Yoga, Mommy & Me classes are some of the fun and healthy ways to exercise at Studio A. All these classes will be offered in six-week sessions.

BEG. ADULT JAZZ - MONDAY 1:00 - 2:00 P.M.
INT/ ADV. ADULT JAZZ - MONDAY 6:45 - 8:00 P.M.
ZUMBA - TUESDAY 7:45 - 8:45 P.M.
MOMMY & ME - WEDNESDAY 10:00-10:45 A.M.

AUDITIONS AUDITIONS AUDITIONS
Do you love to dance? Do you need more opportunities to perform? Are you ready to further your dance experience? If so, maybe our Company Dance Team is for you. Auditions will be held for the Jazz and Tap Companies on Wednesday, August 27th. Audition times are as follows.

JAZZ CO.
AGE 5-6 3:30 P.M.
AGE 7-10 4:30 P.M.
AGE 11 & UP 5:30 P.M.

TAP CO.
AGE 7-10 3:30 P.M.
AGE 5-6 4:30 P.M.
AGE 11 UP 6:30 P.M.

All 5-6 yr. Auditions will last 45 minutes; all others will last 1 hour.

Auditions for our brand new Ballet Company will be held Thursday, August 28th. The times are as follows:

Age 7-10 3:30 - 4:30 p.m.
(be prepared to stay until 5:30 if needed)

Ages 11 and up 4:30 - 5:30 p.m.

COMPANY SOLO / DUO / TRIO AUDITIONS
Auditions for current Company dancers who are interested in performing in a solo, duo or trio need to audition on Tuesday, August 26th. Jazz auditions are at 4:30 and Tap auditions are at 5:30. Each audition will last an hour.
