Studio A is home to the Studio A Dance Company, established in 1997. Our company dancers study a variety of dance genres, including jazz, ballet, tap and modern. The company performs in a variety of venues, including the competition circuit. Additionally, they have created performances for the Diablo Ballet Guild, the Blackhawk Museum, and performed with the California Symphony. The company has been featured guest performers at Davies Symphony Hall, the Regional Centre for the Arts, Bay Area Kidfest, St. Mary’s College, a variety of cabaret shows and community events.

The company dancers have been acknowledged at competitions for their technical skill, and performance ability. Their dances have been the recipients of multiple high score awards, choreography awards, outstanding performance awards, and entertainment awards. In 2005, The Studio A Company was awarded a scholarship to study with world-renowned choreographers in Texas. Company dancers have also been awarded scholarships to study in New York City. Several former company dancers have since become Broadway performers, professional cheerleaders, and distinguished teachers.
